NinjaLit

Privacy policy

Last updated 4 November 2026

NinjaLit is built so that your athletes’ details stay with you. This policy explains what the NinjaLit app, the pod page (pod.ninjalit.com) and this website do with information.

The short version

Information kept on your device

The app keeps the athletes you add (name, and optionally a class or team and an organisation), their results, your drills and your settings in the app’s storage on your device. It stays there until you remove it or delete the app. It is not uploaded to us.

Pods and the live connection

A pod is a web page at pod.ninjalit.com, hosted by Cloudflare. To connect, the app and the pods join a room with a room code and PIN through Supabase Realtime (servers in Canada). Only live drill messages pass through it: which pod to light, its color, and the time a pod measured. These messages are not stored by us or by the service.

A pod remembers its pod number, color theme, look and wave sensitivity in its browser so it can reconnect. Nothing else is saved on the pod.

Wave mode uses the pod’s camera to notice a hand or racket passing over it. The pictures are read on the pod as they arrive; they are never recorded or sent. The app never asks a pod to use its microphone.

AI training notes

When you ask for AI training notes, the app sends an athlete’s drill numbers (times, accuracy, drill names, dates and, where you have one, the place in the group) to our server, which passes them to OpenRouter and an AI model provider to write the notes. Names are never sent. Our server does not keep the numbers or the notes; to prevent abuse it counts requests per network address for one hour.

Purchases

Subscriptions are bought and managed through Apple. We never receive your payment details. Apple tells the app which plan is active.

This website

The website sets no cookies, has no analytics and loads no outside fonts or scripts. Like any website, its host Cloudflare processes your network address to deliver the pages and keep them safe.

Children and schools

The app is used by coaches, teachers and athletes. When a coach adds young athletes, their details stay on the coach’s device and are not shared with us. Schools should follow their own rules for recording pupils’ names.

Your choices

You can edit or remove any athlete or result in the app, or remove everything by deleting the app. Because we hold no personal data from the app, there is nothing for us to export or delete; if you have a question, write to us.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date. Important changes will also be shown in the app.
